MENOMONIE (September 25, 2010) - Jessica Price (Sr, Woodbury, Minn) scored two goals and added an assist as UW-Stout defeated Lawrence University, 3-1, at Nelson Field Saturday.

Price got the scoring going early for the Blue Devils (4-4-0), scoring only 1-minute, 22-seconds into the game, with an assist from Jesse Lankford (Fr, Cedar Falls, Iowa).

But the Vikings answered back 15 minutes later on a goal by Sarah Ehlinger.

Stout opened the scoring early in the half, and closed out the first half scoring late when Grace Salwasser (Jr, Cottage Grove, Minn) scored with only 33 seconds remaining in the half, taking a pass from Price.

Price closed out the scoring in the 61st minute, taking a pass from Jenna Schlueter (So, Littleton, Colo), then moved to her left before beating the goalie.

Whitney Fenne (Fr, Columbus, Minn) had seven saves for Stout, while Ariana Flood had 10 saves for the Vikings.

Price's first goal was the third fastest goal in Blue Devil women's soccer history. Nellie Sivertsen scored the fastest two goals, scoring 29 seconds into a 4-1 win over UW-River Falls, Oct. 2, 2001. Sivertsen also scored at the 1:00 mark in a 4-0 win over Viterbo University, Oct. 9, 2000.

Other fast goals include a goal by Katie Ness (Sr, River Falls) at the 1:30 mark in a 3-1 win over Lawrence on Sept. 7, 2008 and Shannon Hermes scored at 1:36 in a 4-1 win over River Falls, Oct. 9, 2004.

Stout will be at UW-Eau Claire, Wednesday, Sept. 29.
