MENOMONIE (September 11, 2010) - UW-Stout kept St. Benedict scoreless for the first 82 minutes, but the Blazers scored twice in the final eight minutes to take a 2-0 win over the Blue Devils Saturday at Nelson Field.

It was the Blazers' Heather Beshears that created the scoring opportunities. Beshears chipped a shot over Stout goalkeeper Whitney Fenne (Fr, Columbus, Minn) with eight minutes left, then sealed the game with just four seconds left in the game as she dribbled around Fenne.

Fenne stopped several dead-on shots by the Blazers, finishing the afternoon with 11 saves. Stout put three shots on frame, all stopped by Blazer goalkeeper Maija Schmelzer.

Stout will be at Ripon College, Sunday, Sept. 12, then will travel to UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Sept. 18.
