St. Norbert 6, UW-Stout 3
GREEN BAY (October 30, 2010) - All of the goals in the game were scored over the first two period and UW-Stout could not get enough of them as they dropped a 6-3 decision to St. Norbert College at the Cornerstone Community Center Saturday afternoon.
The Knights (2-0-0, 2-0-0 NCHA) got on the board first when Nick Tabisz scored at 7:18, but the Blue Devils tied the score on a
Charles Lachance (So, Quebec City, QC) a minute later.
The Blue Devils (1-3-0, 0-2-0 NCHA) took the lead during the next minute when
Robert Carr (Sr, Roseau, Minn) scored. But St. Norbert came back to tie the game with a power play goal at 14:11 of the first period, then scored only seven second later to take a 3-2 lead. The Knights padded the lead at the 16 minute mark to take a 4-2 lead into the first intermission locker room.
St. Norbert's Cody Keefer scored 24 seconds into the second period.
Branden Gay (Sr, Calgary, Alberta) got that goal back in the 15th minute, but the Knights Brandon Longley answered in the 18th minute.
Stout's
Tom Lescovich (So, Clifton Park, NY) had 34 saves, while the Knights' BJ O'Brien had 18 saves.
Stout will be at St. Mary's Thursday, Nov. 4 and at St. Thomas, Satuday, Nov. 6.
