STEVENS POINT (October 22, 2010) -
Hope Weilage (So, Marshall, Minn) had a career-best 13 kills against Cardinal Stritch University, but UW-Stout dropped a pair of matches Friday in Stevens Point, losing 3-0 to the Pointers and 3-2 to Cardinal Stritch.
Weilage had the 13 kills and hit at a team-best .400 hitting percentage as Stout lost 22-25, 25-20, 25-13, 22-25, 15-8.
Steph Nichols (Sr, Greendale) had 11 kills, while
Tori Sandstrom (So, Cary, Ill) finished with 10 kills.
Kim Labat (Sr, Marshall, Minn) had 17 digs and
Mallory White (Fr, St. Joseph, Minn) collected 47 assists.
Earlier in the afternoon, the Blue Devils (3-22) lost 25-18, 25-17, 25-16 to the host Pointers. Sandstrom led Stout with 10 kills. Morgan Bartkowiak had 11 kills to lead the Pointers.
Stout will be at Beloit College, Saturday, Oct. 23.
