MENOMONIE (September 27, 2009) - Grace Salwasser (So, Cottage Grove, Minn) provided an assist on the tying goal then poked in the eventual game-winning goal as UW-Stout extended their win streak with a 3-1 win over St. Norbert College, Sunday at Nelson Field.

After St. Norbert's Katherine Larson scored in the 17th minute, the Blue Devils (2-7-0) knotted the score in the 39th minute when Salwasser booted the corner kick in to Courtney Tideman (So, Sartell, Minn), who headed the ball home.

Stout took the lead in the 55th minute when Salwasser took a pass in the box from Kaitlin Arjes (Jr, Owatonna, Minn) and booted the ball in the net.

The Blue Devils got a little bit of breathing room late in the game when Cassie Palokangas (So, Apple Valley, Minn) dribbled the ball down the field and found Jessica Price (Jr, Woodbury, Minn), who beat the St. Norbert goalkeeper.

Bridget LaVallee (Fr, St. Michael, Minn) picked up her second win in as many days in goal, recording three saves. Stout outshot St. Norbert (4-4-0), 10-7, but all three goals they put on net, scored.

The Blue Devils will be at UW-River Falls, Wednesday, Sept. 30, then return home Saturday, Oct. 3 to meet UW-Oshkosh at 4 p.m.
