Stout soccer once again nipped, 1-0

Hamline 1, Stout 0

ST. PAUL, Minn. (October 6, 2009)
- UW-Stout's women's soccer team allowed a goal with eight minutes remaining in the game, Tuesday night, as they fell, 1-0, to Hamline University.

With just minutes remaining in a wet, rainy, cold game, Hamline's Courtney McMoore headed in the game's only goal.

Stout took 12 shots compared to Hamline's seven.  Kaitlin Arjes (Jr, Owatonna, Minn.) led all players with three shots, all of which were on goal.

Blue Devils' freshman goalie, Bridget LaVallee (St. Michael, Minn.), recorded five saves, while Liz Stock recorded eight for the opposition.

The 1-0 loss marks the fifth time this season the Blue Devils have lost by that score.  It is the eighth game Stout has lost by one goal.

The Blue Devils return to action, Saturday, Oct. 10, when they travel to La Crosse to face the Eagles in a WIAC contest.
