River Falls 3, Stout 1
RIVER FALLS (October 21, 2009) - UW-River Falls defeated UW-Stout, 3-1, in the final WIAC contest of the season Wednesday.
The Falcons defeated Stout, 25-16, 25-20, 21-25, 25-17.
Hope Weilage (Fr, Marshall, Minn),
Kate Mikutowski (Fr, Stillwater, Minn) and
Steph Nichols (Jr, Greendale) each had seven kills to lead Stout (12-14, 1-7). Weilage had a solo block and five block assists.
Sara Kjos (So, Hamburg, Minn) had two solo blocks and four block assists.
The Falcons (13-13, 5-3) got 14 kills from Gina DeRosa and Erin Green
Stout will be at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational this weekend where they will play Viterbo, UW-Superior, Loras and Lawrence.
