St. Olaf 2, Stout 0
NORTHFIELD, Minn (October 21, 2009) - In a miserable day for almost anything outdoors, St. Olaf slipped past UW-Stout, 2-0, in the Blue Devils' final non-conference contest of the season Wednesday.
St. Olaf (11-4-0) put up a goal on a cold, raingy afternoon in the 30th minute when Lindsey Howard scored. The Oles got their final goal of the day in the 81st minute on an own goal by Stout (5-12-0).
While the total shots were relatively close, with St. Olaf holding a 14-11 edge, the Blue Devils did not put a single shot on net and Stout's
Bridget LaVallee (Fr, St. Michael, Minn) recorded seven saves.
Stout will close out the regular season when they host UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m.
