MENOMONIE (October 2, 2009) - UW-Stout won the first set, but UW-Stevens Point came back to win the next three sets to defeat the Blue Devils, 3-1, Friday at Johnson Fieldhouse.
The Blue Devils (9-9, 0-3) took the first set, 25-18, but the Pointers came back for a 25-17, 25-19, 25-18 decision.
Hope Weilage (Fr, Marshall, Minn) and
Kate Mikutowski (Fr, Stillwater, Minn) paced the Blue Devils with 11 kills apiece.
Alicia Mizer (Sr, Barron) had 29 digs.
The Pointers got 11 kills from Morgan Bartkowiak and Pam Nora had nine kills.
Stout hosts a triangular, Saturday, Oct. 3. The Blue Devils will open with Hamline University at 10 a.m., then will play Bethel University at 2 p.m. Hamline and Bethel will play each other at noon.
