Blue Devils tipped by St. Ben's in overtime

Stout drops 10th game by one goal

St. Benedict 1, UW-Stout 0 (2OT)

ST. JOSEPH, Minn (October 15, 2009)
- It is starting to sound like a broken record, but UW-Stout lost their 10th game of the season by one goal, falling 1-0 in double overtime to St. Benedict Thursday.

Kelly Suter scored for the Blazers with only 27 seconds remaining in the second overtime period.

The Blue Devils (3-11-0) had opportunities throughout the damp afternoon, out-shooting St. Benedict, 22-14 overall and a 12-8 advantage in shots on goal. Bridget LaVallee (Fr, St. Michael, Minn) recorded six saves. The Stout defense saved another shot on net.

Stout will be at UW-Superior, Saturday, Oct. 17, and will host St. Catherine, Sunday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.
