UW-Stout 2, St. Norbert 2 (2OT)
DE PERE (September 6, 2008) - Jessica Price (So, Woodbury) scored twice for UW-Stout, but St. Norbert found a way to answer each of her goals as the Blue Devils and the Green Knights tied, 2-2, Saturday.
Price opened the scoring only six minutes into the game, getting a pass from Grace Salwasser (Fr, Cottage Grove, Minn) in a scramble in front of an open net. The assist was Salwasser's first collegiate point.
But St. Norbert's Ashley Haws answered back only four minutes later with an unassisted goal.
Price picked up her second goal of the season in the 36th minute, with an assist by Katie Ness (So, River Falls).
The Green Knights' Rachel Barina knotted the score in the 58th minute.
Taylor Randle (Fr, Shoreview, Minn), in the goal for the Blue Devils (0-2-1) recorded seven saves, while St. Norbert's (2-2-1) Mallory Ford had eight saves. In total shots, St. Norbert oushot Stout, 19-15.
Stout put six shots on net in the second period and St. Norbert pushed hard in the overtime periods, putting four shots on net that Randle turned away.
Stout will be at Lawrence University, Sunday, Sept. 7.
