Swanson collects 18 kills in loss to Pioneers

MENOMONIE  (October 17, 2008) - Jenna Swanson (Jr, Hayfield, Minn) had a season-high 18 kills as UW-Stout lost to UW-Platteville, 3-1, Friday at Johnson Fieldhouse.

The Pioneers (13-12, 3-3) won the match, 25-22, 18-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Swanson had seven kills in the third set to lead Stout (4-17, 1-4). Steph Nichols (So, Greendale) finished the night with 11 kills. Jamie Olson (Fr, Andover, Minn) had three solo blocks and four block assists.

The Pioneers got 14 kills from Lisa Bell, 12 from Rachel Champman and 10 from Melissa Hillebrand.

Stout will host UW-La Crosse, Saturday, Oct. 18 at noon.
