UW-Eau Claire 2, UW-Stout 0
EAU CLAIRE (October 15, 2008) - UW-Stout kept UW-Eau Claire off the board in the first half, but the Blugolds put up a two-spot in the second half to take a 2-0 win Wednesday at Bollinger Fields.
The Blugolds (13-1-2, 5-1-0) got a goal by Rachel Nerison in the 70th minute and another by Amy Smith in the final minute of the game.
The Blue Devils (5-7-3, 3-2-2) managed only two shots on the afternoon, both of those on net, and both came in the second half. Stout's Taylor Randle (So, Shoreview, Minn) faced 10 shots on goal and turned away eight. The Blugolds outshot Stout, 21-2, overall.
Stout will be at UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Oct. 18, then will host St. Benedict, Sunday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m.
