ST. PETER, Minn. (October 1, 2008) - Gustavus Adolphus College stopped UW-Stout's unbeaten streak at four as the Gusties downed the Blue Devils, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon.
The Gusties (3-5-2) scored in each period, getting a goal in the ninth minute by Ashley Anderson, then another in the 71st minute, this one by Callie Christiansen.
Stout (4-5-2) put three shots on net, all in the first period. Gustavus outshot Stout, 18-5. Stout's Taylor Randle (Fr, Shoreview, Minn) absorbed the loss and stopped 11 shots, seven in the first half. The Gusties' Ashley Ohlsen recorded all three saves for the home team.
Stout returns to conference play Saturday, Oct. 4 when they host UW-La Crosse at 4 p.m. at Nelson Field.
