The energetic Kody Morgan worked with the Blue Devils as an assistant coach in 2014 and 2015. Morgan worked with the defensive linemen in 2015 During the 2014 season, Morgan worked with the defensive backs, primarily the cornerbacks.
Morgan came to Menomonie from the University of Mary in North Dakota, where he was a defensive ends coach for the Marauders football staff as a graduate assistant in 2013. He began his collegiate coaching career in 2012 at UW-Stevens Point in 2012, working with the defensive backs, after a four-year career in the defensive backfield with the Pointers. One of his players, Colton Zimmerman, earned all-conference recognition and currently plays in the German Professional Football League for the Rothenberg Franken Knights
A four-year starter for the Pointers (2008-11) at cornerback, Morgan helped Stevens Point capture a WIAC conference championship his freshman year. During his playing career for the Pointers, Morgan won several awards, intercepted seven passes and returned a punt for a touchdown. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Math Education from UW-Stevens Point.
A captain of two state runner-up teams in football and basketball, Morgan attended Iola-Scandinavia High School in central Wisconsin and earned academic and athletic honors in football, basketball and baseball.
Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree in Math Education from the UW-Stevens Point and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Education Curriculum Development at U-Mary.
