Pat McAvoy

Pat McAvoy was an assistant coach for the UW-Stout football team in 2014 and 2015, serving has an offensive coordinator, predomiately with the Blue Devils running game.

In 2015, offensive lineman Kane'ala Atchison-Keolanui was a first team all-WIAC selection and an all-West region selection. Wide receiver Brian Alvarez was a second team pick. Tight end Reggie Kujak and quarterback Hank Kujak were honorable mention selections.

During his first season in 2014 McAvoy coached the offensive line along with coordinating the offense.  Moving into the 2015 season McAvoy will serve as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, as well as the strength and conditioning coordinator for the Blue Devils

In 2014 McAvoy had the privilege of coaching two all-conference players on offense - Tanner Kuehn (RB) and Kane’ala Atchison Keolanui (OL).

McAvoy previously coached two seasons at Northern Illinois University from 2012-14 serving as the assistant offensive line coach during NIU’s 2012 Mid-American Conference (MAC) championship team and had the opportunity to coach in the BCS Orange Bowl against Florida State.

McAvoy played fullback at NIU from 2007-11 and played on the Northern Illinois MAC championship team in 2011. McAvoy also had the opportunity to play in four major bowl games during his career with NIU.

A  2011 honors graduate of Northern Illinois University,  McAvoy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing.  In 2013, he earned a Master’s in Sport Management from Northern Illinois University.

A native of Cary, IL and graduate of St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL, McAvoy was a three sport, three-year varsity player, excelling in football, hockey and basketball.
