Jed Stutzman

2025 will be Jed Stutzman’s 13th season with the Blue Devils and 11th as the running backs coach. 
 

UW-STOUT (2013-Present)


2024: The Blue Devils went 6-5, 4-3 for their first winning season since 2017 and qualified for postseason play for the first time since 2000. Stout played in the Culver’s Isthmus Bowl falling 35-32 to Wheaton. Stout played seven games against ranked opponents, defeating #16 Dickinson State, #8 Whitewater and #13 Oshkosh. Stout’s 29-27 win over Whitewater, was the Blue Devils first over the Warhawks since 2001. In WIAC play, Stout allowed just six sacks, was a perfect 27-27 in the redzone, and had the number one scoring offense. Stout scored the most points (370) in school history. Pat Corcoran was first-team All-Wiac all-purpose back.
2023: The Blue Devils went 4-6 in 2023. Stout faced five opponents that were ranked or receiving votes in the top-25 polls, including two ranked in the top-10. Stout had a three-game stretch scoring over 40 points and was third in the league in passing yards per game, totaling just under 300 a game. Stout won their eighth straight “War on 94” trophy with a 38-13 win at UW-Eau Claire. 
2022: The Blue Devils offensive averaged 424.9 yards of offense (second in the WIAC) 168.1 on the ground averaging 6.2 yards per play. The Blue Devils scored 32.2 points a game (fourth in the WIAC). The Blue Devils set a school record for points in a game with a 66-6 home win over Crown College. The next weekend Stout broke that record again with a 73-29 home win over UW-Eau Claire to claim their 7th straight “War on 94” trophy. Stout totaled nearly 700 yards of offense. Stout had their third blowout win with a 55-0 victory over Stevens Point. Arthur Cox was named to three teams as well as being named the Special Teams Player of the Year. Cox earned first team honors as a wide receiver and return specialist and was named honorable mention all-purpose back. Cox and were named all-region.
2021: The Blue Devil backfield averaged 138.3 yards per game. Arthur Cox earned first-team all-purpose back honors.
2020: Season canceled due to COVID-19
2019: Kevion McDonald earned first-team all-purpose back honors.
2018: The Blue Devils averaged 150.1 yards per game on the ground. Keyshawn Carpenter earned first-team running back honors, Rayshawn Graham earned honorable mention running back and Levy Hamer was named honorable mention all-purpose back
2017: Stout averaged 112.9 yards a game. Rayshawn Graham was named second team running back honors and Kevion McDonald was named second-team all-purpose back.  
2016: The Blue Devils averaged 138.8 yards per game on the ground.
2015: The Blue Devils averaged 129.2 yards per game on the ground
2014: Stout averaged 109.6 yards a game on the ground. Tanner Kuehn earned first-team all-purpose back honors.
2013: The Blue Devil offense averaged 382.5 yards a game. Devon Greiber has named first-team All-WIAC. David Reyes earned second-team honors.

PLAYING CAREER


Luther College (2001-05) Stutzman played offensive guard for the Norse, receiving the program's Norse Award. 

 
PERSONAL


An Augusta, Wis. native, Stutzman earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Luther College. Stutzman and his wife Mackenzie (Hunter), the UW-Stout Associate Director of Recreation, reside in Eau Claire with their daughter, Kennedy, and son Lincoln. Stutzman is currently a social studies teacher at Eau Claire Memorial High School.
