2024 will be Keyshawn Carpenter’s fifth as assistant coach and third with the receiving corps.
UW-STOUT (2022-Present)
2023: The Stout offense averaged 430.8 yards per game and 293.9 per game passing (third in the WIAC). The Blue Devils had three receivers in the top-10 of the WIAC in yards per game. Arthur Cox was named first-team all-WIAC. Stout faced five opponents that were ranked or receiving votes in the top-25 polls, including two ranked in the top-10. Stout won their eighth straight “War on 94” trophy with a 38-13 win at UW-Eau Claire.
2022: In 2022 the Blue Devils offensive averaged 424.9 yards of offense (second in the WIAC) 256.8 through the air averaging 6.2 yards per play. The Blue Devils scored 32.2 points a game (fourth in the WIAC). In Week two, Levy Hamer caught a 62-yard touchdown pass on fourth down with 15 seconds left in the game to stun host Gustavus Adolphus 28-25. The next week The Blue Devils set a school record for points in a game with a 66-6 home win over Crown College. The next weekend Stout broke that record again with a 73-29 home win over UW-Eau Claire to claim their 7
th straight “War on 94” trophy. Stout totaled nearly 700 yards of offense. Stout had their third blowout win with a 55-0 victory over Stevens Point. The Blue Devils had their second walk-off win of the season when they beat No. 22 Platteville in triple overtime. 24-22. In all the Blue Devils played four teams ranked in the top-25. Arthur Cox was named to three teams as well as being named the Special Teams Player of the Year. Cox earned first team honors as a wide receiver and return specialist and was named honorable mention all-purpose back. Levy Hamer was first-team wide receiver for the second straight season he was second in the WIAC in receiving yards He holds the school record with 34 career touchdown receptions. Hamer and Cox and were named all-region.
Assistant Coaching Career
University of Minnesota Duluth (2021) The Bulldogs won the NSIC conference title and advanced to the NCAA DII Playoffs.
University of Wisconsin-Stout (2019-20) Assistant coach working with the Blue Devil running backs.
PLAYING CAREER
University of Wisconsin-Stout (2014-18) Carpenter was team captain and first-team, All-WIAC running back. He finished his career with a 1044 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He had a career-high 182 yard three touchdown game against UW-Stevens Point his senior year.
At Evergreen Park High School, Carpenter was an all-conference, all-area and all-state athlete. His team was 2013 conference champions and 2012 state semifinalists.
PERSONAL
A Evergreen Park, Ill. native, Carpenter earned his bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from UW-Stout in 2018.
