Joel Thimsen stayed hot as UW-Stout won eight conference games last week. The senior third baseman hit .438 over four wins over UW-Platteville, March 28-29, and UW-Eau Claire, April 2-3. Thimsen was 14 of 32 with 15 runs scored, hitting three doubles, and two home runs for 13 total RBI. Thmsen posted a slugging percentage of .719 and drew seven walks and was twice hit by a pitch to post a .561 on-base percentage. Thimsen stole three bases. Thimsen gave Stout the lead for good with a with a two-run single in the eighth inning an 11-6 win over Eau Claire, April 2. For the season, Thimsen is hitting .469 (30-64) with 23 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, two home runs, 30 RBI, with a slugging percentage of .703 and an on-base percentage of .565. Thimsen has stolen four bases and the third baseman has a fielding percentage of .914.
