UW-Stout freshman guard Raegan Sorensen was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week after hitting not one, but two game winning shots last week. Sorensen hit game-winning shots in back-to-back games in the final seconds to get Stout to 2-0 last week as Stout defeated UW-Stevens Point, 63-61, and UW-Platteville, 69-67. Sorensen, a freshman from Balsam Lake) scored 18 points, had nine rebounds and four steals in the win over Stevens Point in Johnson Fieldhouse Jan. 19 and had 13 points, eight rebounds and four steals in the win at Platteville. For the week, Sorensen was 12-27 (.444) from the floor and 7-10 (.700) from the line with 17 rebounds and eight steals. Sorensen leads the team in scoring with 12.8 points per game and in rebounds with 5.0 per game. She is among the team leaders in assists (1.4/game) and leads the team in steals with 33. Sorensen has gotten to the free throw line more than any other Blue Devil player, going 63-86 (.759) from the line. Sorensen is shooting 52.1 percent (74-142) from the floor - third in the WIAC - and has hit 9 of 24 3-pointers. Sorensen leads the team in blocked shots with eight.
