University of Wisconsin-Stout Athletics

Obermueller was a four-year golf letter winner, and was named all-WSUC and all-NAIA District 14 in 1981-82. He placed fifth at the District 14 tournament in 1982 and shot a 4-under parr 33 at Menomonie to help Stout win a triangular meet. Obermueller was a member of the 1978 Wisconsin state high school basketball championship team at Colfax. He is currently a trainer of project superintendents for a large construction firm in the Chicago area.
