Seth Maier was a four-year all-conference player, and he earned his stripes at a number of positions - outfield, third base, short stop and first base, where he played his final two seasons. Maier was the WIAC player of the year in 2007.

An all-region selection in 2006 and 2007, Maier was selected All-America by ABCA Rawlings and D3baseball.com in 2007. He is the all-time hits leader for the Blue Devils with 224, the all-time doubles leader (50) and the leader in at-bats (577).

Maier was an assistant coach for the Blue Devils in 2008 and 2009, then following two summers with the Northwoods League Alexandria Beetles, was named the UW-Stout head coach, a position he held in 2010 and 2011. Maier was selected to the WIAC all-time baseball team.
