Mike Kraimer excelled in three sports – football, track and field and baseball. Team MVP and two-time all-WSUC, Kraimer played wide receiver from 1980-83 and, upon induction, is 10th on the UW-Stout all-time receiving list with 1327 yards on 62 catches at 21.4 yards per catch. In track, he was the WSUC indoor (1981, 82) and outdoor (82) pentathlon champion, a two-time team MVP (1982, 83), and advanced to the 1984 outdoor nationals in the long jump. Kraimer played one year of baseball, specializing in stolen bases.
