Katy Olsen qualified five times to the NCAA Division III track championships, three times in 1998, in the indoor 5000-meter run, and the outdoor 5000- and 10,000-meter runs. In 1999, Olsen qualified to the indoor championships in the 3000- and the 5000-meter runs. Olsen 10-times placed at the WIAC track championships and earned All-America honors in 1997 and 1998. In cross country, she holds the second best 5-kilometer time in school history. Olsen is the only female Blue Devil cross country runner to place in the top 10 at the WIAC championships three times, placing 10th in 1996, fourth in 1997 and third in 1998. The third place finish is Stout's highest individual finish.
