Jamie Buchholtz excelled in propelling himself high in the air over a bar and earned five All-America pole vault honors from 1998-2002.
Buchholtz earned indoor All-America honors by finishing second in 1998 and sixth in 2001. He earned outdoor All-America honors by placing second in 1999, fourth in 2000 and seventh in 2001. Buchholtz was a four-time conference champion in the pole vault (indoors 1999, 2000;, outdoors 1999, 2001) and was the 2000 Indoor WIAC Athlete of the Meet when he sailed 16-feet, 2-inches.
Upon his induction, Buchholtz is fourth on the UW-Stout all-time indoor pole vault list (16-2) and second on the outdoor list (17-0.25). To date, Buchholtz is one of only three Stout pole vaulters to have cleared 17-feet.
