A four-year football letterman in the offensive line between 1946 and 1949. Began his coaching career as a Stout assistant in 1950. Now an extremely successful Michigan high school football coach at Traverse City. His teams have compiled an impressive record. Instrumental in organizing the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association. Inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 1982.
