He set pass catching records in an era when the forward pass was used sparingly. In 1927 he caught 15 passes against Superior. Later that year, he gained 157 yards receiving against River Falls. Both records stand today. Was a member of the Professional Golfers Association for many years. He retired from the graphic arts department at Fox Valley Technical Institute in 1971.
