Erin O’Connell earned softball All-America honors after leading the NCAA Division III in home runs in 2003, smashing out 15 round-trippers, a mark that is both still a school and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) single season record. In a double header against UW-Superior in 2003, O’Connell recorded four home runs, three in the second game. O’Connell earned Great Lakes All-Region first team honors in 2003 and 2004 and third team honors in 2005. O’Connell was a four-year starter and three-time All-WIAC selection (2003, 2004, 2005). O’Connell finished her career with 31 home runs, a Stout record and a top-10 conference mark. A first baseman who played in 150 games over her career, O’Connell holds the school record for fielding percentage (.992) and is currently in the top 10 in slugging percentage (.636/third) hits (164/eighth), runs batted in (112/third) and at-bats (461/eighth). In 2005, O’Connell played a key role when Stout won the WIAC tournament and earned their first trip to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship. Upon graduation O’Connell served as a Blue Devil assistant coach for four seasons.
